My literary career started quite by chance. I had already been writing advertising texts as part of my studies for my Bachelor Degree in Social Communication (Marketing & Advertising) when I met my first publisher. She told me about some of the children’s book titles she wanted to have developed. I decided to have a go. The work was published Dedao nao e sorvete de Limao (a children’s book about bad mouth habits, in Portuguese, 1998) doing the art direction myself, and since then Pancast/Master Book Publishing (from Sao Paulo, Brazil) has published five of my works.
I also have some reasonable experience in the printing business, having worked for several years for a forms and labels printing factory.
By the way, I am a Brazilian guy from Sao Paulo with three nationalities (I am also Spanish and Italian!) who has been living in Britain for four years and currently starting my own small design and publishing house called Pocket Lab which will produce my books in English in the UK and fine product and graphic design... a small but good sample of our quality work would be our logo.
Our first book to be published will be Toddler’s London, a modern picture book about London for toddlers, including the giant wheel!
