Author and Counsellor

Althea is the author of several books; the following are available on this site as ebooks. To puchase an ebook just click on the title.

  • Healing Path : A path to healing for wombtwin survivors set out in thirty steps, with exercise and reflections at every stage. The stages begin with a consideration of how the vague and confused imprint of the first weeks of life form a vague impression that is maintained in the mind as a kind of Dream of the Womb. Essentially, the healing path is a gradual process whereby wombtwin survivors can awaken from the Dream to the reality of their inner strength and potential for growth.

  • Wombtwin Survivors : “Wombtwin survivors” are the sole survivors of a twin or multiple pregnancy. For every twin birth there are 10-12 sole survivors, whose twin died in the womb. Almost all of them have no idea that this is what happened. Althea has collected together the stories of more than a hundred people, who either know or believe that they are wombtwin survivors. It seems that they do carry a vague impression of their twin and feel a sense of loss. Based on four years of research, this e-book is the first publication designed to help wombtwin survivors to understand why they feel as they do, and begin to heal these wounds from long ago. This ebook is now available free of charge from Althea’s website.

  • Fruition : A challenging guide to personal growth for people who are seeking fruition and are about to embark on a period of inner change, such as a course of study, a training course, counselling or spiritual direction. With the help of the charts in this book you can find out more about yourself and see exactly where you are on your personal life journey at every stage along the way.

  • Shira : This fable is an allegory of the spiritual journey. Two brothers, Bara and Bild, race in search of the magical horse Shira. Bara uses wit and intelligence to work out which way to move forward. Bild, who is stronger relies on his strength. The brothers are separated and make their individual journeys alone, but are eventually reunited. In the end their personal resources of foresight and strength are rendered useless. By a process of gradual surrender they eventually find Shira. Only then can they find their way home.
